Christianity is more than just
enjoying a "personal relationship with Jesus".We are impelled by the Holy Spirit
to help and care for one another, regardless. The twenty-fifth chapter of
Matthew suggests that the nations will be judged by how well they took
care of people in trouble.In
fact, this is a real way of encountering Jesus for us.As individuals we practice this
care, but as a group we can do more than we could ever do as
individuals.

This fifth century mosaic from
the Cathedral of St. Apollinare Nuovo in Ravenna , Italy
, shows a beardless Christ flanked by two
Byzantine angels separating the sheep from the goats. See Matthew 25:
31-46
As you did this to the least of my brethren,
you did it to me.
